dear daughters

dear daughters,

God gave me an idea! I have to give Him credit, because He is the Creator and author of creativity. I LOVE creativity, don’t you? I know my creative artist daughter Aimee does. Anyway, back to the creative, new idea. I love you, I love to teach, I love to share what God has taught me, I love to see you succeed, AND I love to write! And I know that you love email and texting. SO….how about a Dear daughter e-note (and I mean note, not a novel) every day or so, with something to smile about or consider? If it’s free, electronic, and you don’t have to do a thing, then why not, right?

So here’s one for starters… Did you know that we are all children? I know you probably don’t like being called a child these days. Whether or not you are technically an adult, you probably don’t consider yourself a child since you are old enough to read this note. But even though I’m a mom, I’m still a child to God. And I am so happy that I am! The Bible tells me that I am a child of God because I believe and receive Jesus. That makes God my Father, the perfect Father, One who loves me, protects me and cares for me. Check out these Bible verses written by three different men - three of the twelve that walked with Jesus as His apostles.

John said, “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12). Paul added, “And if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ…” (Romans 8:17). Peter concluded, “To obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you” (1 Peter 1:4).

You were born a daughter to someone. But what’s more important is that you are reborn as a daughter of the King when you claim Jesus as your Savior. And because He is royalty, His daughters have a royal inheritance! Now that’s a reason to rejoice!

living to love, loving to live,

Thank you for your comment on my blog. I am constantly trying to grow and change, and my words are often jumbled up, but God knows what is in my heart, and when people read my blog, I hope that He helps them to see a little of me, and maybe even a little into their own hearts, you know? I really appreciated your comment and will read it again and again I am sure. I am still trying to hear Him and discover where I am to go in my life, but I feel like something is coming, and something is definitely pulling on my heart. We will see! :-) I have definitely been blessed in finding some strong Christians in this whole blogging world! Have you checked out Without Wax? It is an awesome blog! You would like it!http://withoutwax.tv/ I hope to hear more from you in the future. Thanks again. ~Jessa~
